Surprisingly Good. Surprisingly Bad.

Surprisingly Good:"Nancy Drew" Starring Emma Roberts, Tate Donovan, and Barry Bostwick. This movie was SURPRISINGLY good! It is aimed at kids, but my parents and I watched this on the edge of our seats. I hate Emma Roberts, but her acting was incredible... channeled the classic character really well. The story was a cool mystery that anyone can get into regardless of age or knowledge of the historic books. Just a fun flick. wowser!

Surprisingly Bad:"August Rush" Starring Freddie Highmore, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Keri Russell, Robin Williams, and Terrence Howard. I guess this movie was bad just because it is incredibly far fetched and the ending wraps everything up in a very cliche way that leaves viewers saying "what was that?" If you can get past the strange premise, the ending is really what ruins this movie. Dissapointing.
