Miss March
Looks like the movie from "The Whitest Kids U'Know" is FINALLY coming out. Alicia and I saw an advanced screening of this last year when they were calling it "Playboys" (click for my review). It looks like they went back and got it a new title "Miss March", got permission to use Playboy logos and also re shot some scenes with Hugh Hefner. That was the one big complaint with the flick, that they had a fake Hef who wasnt very good at the impersonation. Everything else looks to have remained the same, which is great cause this movie was really funny. Here's the trailer. I'll be checking it out again. If you like movies like "Harold & Kumar" or "Sex Drive" you'll be into this.

Disney Gets Cryptic
"Are You 23?"
That is the creepy message Disney is asking you at a strange teaser site that has been set up here.
The site says we won't get more details until March 10, 09 (which is the day of the Annual Disney Shareholders meeting) so whatever is coming, it is sure to be a big surprise. I have a pretty good feeling this is gonna be a movie because I found the link to it in my Disney Movie Rewards Newsletter and because apparently a movie style poster was spotted at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.

I have a pretty good feeling this is gonna be a movie because I found the link to it in my Disney Movie Rewards Newsletter and because apparently a movie style poster was spotted at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.
Interesting Online Thought & Theories...
- The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923.
- Pixar is 23 years old this year.
- There is a loose consortium of hackers that call themselves “Twentythree”.
- People born in 1986 would be 23.
- March 10, 1986 Halley’s Comet was returning from it’s trip around the sun. Maybe it left some space dust on the Earth and now the government is looking for all the children born during that time (are you 23 years old?) because they are exhibiting super powers!!!!
- Disney is coming out with 23 new family style adventure vacation itineraries in 2009
- VMK (Virtual Magic Kingdom game) opened March 23 closed May 23. Bringing it back?
- a Disney fan berated Iger over the fact that the company only caters to the casual Disney park fans and has abandoned the more dedicated intense long-term Disney fans. If the rumors hold true, people will apparently be asked to pay about $100 a year to become part of a new club which will offer a bunch of new exclusive merchandise opportunities as well as setting up 1 or 2 fan events at the parks each year, with the first to take place in Anaheim. As for the origin of the number 23 it was pointed out that WED officially became Walt Disney Imagineering in 1986 and the shareholders changed name of Walt Disney Productions to The Walt Disney Company in 1986 as well, making each name 23 years old. As for the March 10th date, some wonder if the details about the new club may be revealed along with the rerelease of Pinocchio on Blu-Ray on March 10th.
- 2 + 3= 5?? Aren’t there 4 Walt Disney Themeparks now. Maybe that 5th park rumor might be answered.
- Song of the south was last released to home video in 1986, 23 years ago (A title that Disney Executives say will probably never be released due to the racism in the picture)
- 2010- the 23rd anniversary of Star Tours' opening, this may be the official announcement of the NEW Star Wars ride
- Dave Smith, chief archivist of all things Disney, said the Archive staff had something to do with it - but he wasn't telling
- 23 vaulted classics may be released on blu-ray (I think this is the most likely to occur since Disney has already announced they have HUGE plans for bluray and already announced a string of titles to be released)

Could We Lose LOST?
So I've been reading some REALLY disappointing news recently regarding the future of ABC's LOST. The show, which is scheduled to reach it's finale in 2010 may not make it that far if ratings continue in their slump. Despite the fact that this season has so far by far been the best season yet, ratings have continued to drag downward. To put it in perspective Season 1's finale ranked in with 20.7 million viewers, Season 4 premiered with 16 million viewers but by the finale had dropped to 11 million. Season 5 premiered with those same 11 million viewers and by now at the 5th episode there are about 9 million viewers. This doesn't sit well with ABC. Everyone knows that LOST is one of the best shows on TV, it is one of the most legally and illegally downloaded shows of all time. The show could lose some of their huge budget, which could damage the quality of the show. Worse yet, the show could be canceled.
So what can you do to keep the show going til the end? For one, if you have a Nielsen Ratings box on your TV (and there aren't really that many out there) make sure you at least leave your TV on ABC during LOSTs timeslot. Now, for the rest of us, if you are gonna watch it on TV, record it on your DVR... Nielsen gets ratings from DVR's. Want to watch it online? Watch it on ABC.com, and don't do other stuff during the commercials, when a commercial ends make sure you quickly click continue so that advertisers feel like the show is actively providing them with worthwhile ad exposure. It's free and convenient, plus commercials are still shorter than TV. Finally, the most effective thing to do is buy LOST episodes on iTunes, iTunes is one of the best ways to rate the success of shows. Basically, if they don't know you are watching, they assume you aren't. So, whether you're a diehard or casual fan of the show it is important we all find out what happens in the end. And if you haven't been watching the season you should probably hit up ABC.com and catch up because it truly is the best season yet. Alright, thats my rant, watch the show. Do IT!

Ads: Frito Lay Dips and Chips - Made For Each Other
This is a really cool ad campaign from Frito Lay. It's called "Made For Each Other" and features some really fun and beautiful animation. Unfortunately the ads haven't hit youtube or any other video site yet for me to show them here. But there is an amazing website for it: MadeForEachOther.com, it takes a while to load but once it does it is really pretty and runs a bit like a movie. You enter a world filled with characters on 3 levels, first the sky level where if you click on the yellow circle character you can watch the "Circles" commercial. The second level is kinda of a volcano beach area, when you click on the fireball character you can watch the commercial "FireSprite". The third level features an underground tunnel system, when you click on the lightbulb character you are linked to the final 2 commercials "Two Hearts" and my personal favorite "Love and Sockets". There is already some underground internet hype for these and the music used. Frito Lay has been smart about this and allows you to read a small bio of the artist after the video or click a link to buy the song. It's a really well put together campaign. If searching the site seems too complicated just to watch some commercials, here are the direct links to each spot, but if you click on these you have to wait for the whole website to load each time you click on one.

is this the G2?
So Ive been holding out on getting the G1 because of the rumors of a G2 coming out as soon as March. Last month a bunch of pictures of HTC hardware hit the web including this picture of the "G2" and now there is this picture of the phone codenamed the "Sapphire" on engadget. It seems EXACTLY like the G1 but sleeker as they have removed the best part; the keyboard. And it is kinda looks like a bar of soap. All other specs are basically the same, same quality camera is disappointing. If this is the G2 I'll be bummed. I don't want an iPhone knockoff, I want a sweet google phone with the ultimate in new features. And a sweet keyboard. One thing that did look really sweet in the leaked photos was this phone codenamed "Hero" There isnt much detail regarding this phone other than it, like the G1, will run Android OS. No keyboard here either but i like the color and structure. Kinda sweet. All these upcoming phones are missing the numero uno feature I am waiting for and that's the forward facing camera. HTC already has some prototypes but nothing out yet. I can't wait to be able to send video messages and have video calls with my loved ones. Guess that's gonna take another couple years :(
So, anyways, here's to a sweet G2 sometime in the future, but I guess if it doesn't ever happen I can always get the upcoming Sidekick LX 2009. ;D

New MTV Sunday Night Lineup starts TONIGHT!!
TV Addicts rejoice, tonight you have the great pleasure of choosing from the already delightful VH1 lineup of "Rock of Love Bus", "Tool Academy", and "Confessions of a Teen Idol" and the newly formed "See You Sunday" lineup on MTV. "See You Sunday" starts at 9p/8c with "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory", "The CollegeHumor Show", "Nitro Circus", and "How's Your News".
Fantasy Factory is Rob Dyrdek's return to MTV since the Finale of "Rob & Big" and it's essentially the same show times 10 billion. Rob minus Big plus his cousins and friends move his home into a huge warehouse where calamity ensues. Heres the trailer:
"The CollegeHumor Show" is based on the hilarious website CollegeHumor, basically the story is all the weirdo people are working together running the website and wacky stuff happens, cool thing is this show stars the actual employees of CollegeHumor like Streeter and Amir from the infamous CollegeHumor Prank War (haven't seen it? you're in for a treat) and the various other webshows found on CHTV.
Anyways, Kathy and I love these guys so hopefully this show will be good!
"Nitro Circus" is Travis Pastrana and his other motocross buddies basically turning ordinary events into action sports with crazy shennanigans ala Jackass. Don't know exactly how I feel about this, the trailer looks good but it seems like a recycled idea with a new twist. I dig the circus-y approach though. Look:
Finally "How's Your News" will air at 10:30p/9:30c. I can't wait for this! It's based on a documentary from 2002 in which a group of adults with disabilities hit the road to interview celebrities. (Actually it began as a video in 1998, a documentary of a road trip in 2002, and a short documentary/ tv special of interviews at the Democratic and Republican national conventions during the 2004 elections). The Documentaries were financed by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of "South Park", and now MTV has picked up "How's Your News" as a 6 episode series with the premiere episode airing tonight. You can find tons of the group's reports and interviews on youtube now and if you are interested in purchasing the documentary you can score it on HowsYourNews.com
Here's the trailer for tonight:
Dude, its John Stamos.

The Chaser's War On Everything
I'm a little slow discovering this show but now that I have I am completely addicted! "The Chaser's War On Everything" is this hilarious show that airs on ABC Australian Broadcast Company in Australia. It's hosted by this comedy troupe called "The Chaser" and covers several socio political topics. The show was on Hiatus in 2008 but is scheduled to return this year. Can't wait for more Australians to throw clips up on youtube!!

Here's a bunch of crap that could be considered one full blog...
Have you been on FMyLife.com yet? Brilliant!
MiniMovieReview: "Henry Poole is Here". Generally I tell people I don't like drama films, but after watching this movie I realize that it's overly-dramatic movies I dislike. Shit like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Henry Poole is a moving, interesting, strange, yet relate able story. Luke Wilson doesn't always take on the most interesting roles, but with a good story his dramatic strength shows. I liked this movie, it brought me back to a genre I'd given up on. I mean, this isn't gonna snag any awards, but it is splendid in it's simplicity.MMR2: "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie"... Can you handle a little anime? Are you down with a good story, cartoon action, and strangely sexy animation? Then you'll probably like Bebop. It got me extra pumped for the upcoming live action St. Keanu picture.
Bored? Love little shit laying around all over your room? Then consider paper models. Yes, the pastime that is sweeping Japan can be done in your spare time here in the states. I made this incredibly cheesy/ strangely exhilirating model Delorean with a pair of scissors, some scotch tape, and only 4 hours of my precious time. (BTW, I totally F'd up the car's butt). Anyways, if you've got no life, check it out
I guess thats all the weird stuff I had to share tonight. sleepy time, I gots a big test tomorrow. Then LOST episode 4 at 9pm... YAY!

The Future is SO Bright
DUDE! I just found this site talking about a contest from Nissin, makers of fine cup noodles, to win 1 of 3000 Cup of Noodle vending machines. It looks awesome, as the author put it "My Vending Machine clearly complicates what is already a painfully simple task: Open lid. Add water. Eat."... its pretty funny
